We've barely brushed the sand off this season, and already next season is shaping up to be massive.

The 2026/27 national events calendar is confirmed, and it's a lineup worth getting excited about. From the pool to the surf, there's plenty to plan for, train towards, and look forward to. Get these dates locked in early - the season has a way of coming around fast.

Here's what to expect:

2-4 October 2026
Sir Owen G. Glenn National Aquatic Centre, Auckland

Aon New Zealand Surf Lifesaving Championships
18-21 March 2027

bp New Zealand IRB Championships

Oceans '27 Festival of Junior Lifesaving Update

We want to get this one absolutely right. Oceans '27 remains firmly on the calendar, and in Tauranga, we're just taking the time needed to lock in a venue that truly delivers for our junior members and their whānau. Expect a full update soon.

Tier 2 events (Regional Championships) are also on the way. We're in the final stages of confirming the wider national/regional calendars and working closely with regions to build out local and regional programmes—more details to come.

Here's to a season filled with great surf, incredible athletes, and the spirit that makes our sport extraordinary.

See you on the beach.
