bp Team Inspired by Surf Life Saving Leadership Programme

Friday, 15 November 2024

The 18 emerging leaders in Surf Life Saving New Zealand’s pinnacle leadership programme have inspired the bp team who presented at the weekend’s workshop.

In its 10th year of support for the Leaders for Life programme, a bp team attended the recent workshop held in Auckland. They shared their learnings from their own career journeys to date and their connections with surf life saving.

Samantha Paterson-Hawes, 2go development manager, said she enjoyed being able to support the programme.

“I was really proud of the partnership between bp and SLSNZ. It’s such a fantastic programme and they support an amazing group of current and future leaders.”

bp Business Manager Kritesh Prasad agreed.

"I left inspired, having rubbed shoulders with bright future leaders shaped by the amazing Leaders for Life programme."

Belinda Slement, SLSNZ National Education Manager, said the workshop over the weekend was one of five workshops held around the country over a 10 month period.

“This weekend was fantastic. We really enjoyed the interaction with the bp team, hearing their own leadership challenges and taking away some key learnings for our group.”

Slement explained, “Leaders for Life began in 2012, with bp joining two years later.  Since then, nearly 200 people have benefitted from the programme. We couldn’t have achieved this without bp’s support, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.”
