Pauanui Surf Life Saving Club and Paid Lifeguard Services Honoured for Heroic Rescue on Tairua Harbour Bar

The Pauanui Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) and the Pauanui and Tairua Paid Lifeguard Services have been recognised for their remarkable efforts during the rescue of four people from the Tairua Harbour bar.

They were awarded a Certificate of Achievement – Operational Activity at the 2022 New Zealand Search and Rescue (SAR) Awards, which highlights outstanding achievements within New Zealand’s Search and Rescue Region.
