Brandt Partnership Boosts Surf Life Saving New Zealand

Wednesday, 17 May 2023

Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is excited to formally announce its partnership with Brandt New Zealand.

During the 2022/23 season, Brandt supplied SLSNZ with two John Deere tractors and four Gator utility vehicles (UTV), which significantly enhanced the effectiveness and efficiency of sport events, proving what an invaluable asset they can be to SLSNZ.

Lewis McClintock, SLSNZ’s National Sport Manager, said, “We honestly couldn’t have run our events without the support of Brandt.  The beach environment presents unique challenges, particularly when it comes to navigating through sand.  Brandt’s John Deere tractors were instrumental in effortlessly moving heavy equipment such as trailers loaded with surf craft, while the UTVs played a crucial role in facilitating first aid services and transporting essential gear and catering across the beach, ensuring our dedicated team was fuelled and ready to tackle the elements.”

Sport events are an essential part of SLSNZ as Surf Lifeguards are not only able to stay in peak physical condition by participating, but they are also able to sharpen their life-saving expertise.  SLSNZ’s Junior Lifesaving Sport programme also imparts crucial water safety skills to children, fostering the development of future Surf Lifeguards.

Dayne Williams, Brandt New Zealand’s Vice President of Operations, said, “We are proud to partner with SLSNZ and support their vital mission.  Our collaboration during the 2022/23 season showcased the importance of reliable equipment in ensuring the smooth operation of sport events which is essential in keeping Surf Lifeguards fit and ready so they can keep beachgoers safe.”

SLSNZ is thrilled to have this partnership formalised and is looking forward to working alongside Brandt during the 2023/24 summer.
