Champions of the Beach: Surf Life Saving New Zealand announces finalists for the Bay of Plenty & Coromandel Awards of Excellence

Monday, 19 June 2023

The finalists for Surf Life Saving New Zealand’s (SLSNZ) Bay of Plenty and Coromandel Awards of Excellence have been announced.

These awards recognise and celebrate the hard work, skills, and dedication that go into surf lifesaving, education, administration, and lifesaving sport throughout the 2022/23 season.

Avan Polo, SLSNZ Eastern Region Manager, said, “Bay of Plenty and Coromandel Surf Lifeguards have been putting in the hard yards this summer, having to cope with a number of weather related events as well as a number of serious incidents across the area”
