SLSNZ Acknowledges Fatality at Muriwai, Auckland

On the 2nd of March 2022, Muriwai Search and Rescue Squad was tasked by the Police to assist in a search for a missing person.

Lifeguards commenced the search, launching an inflatable rescue boat and rescue watercraft, and located the individual who was sadly deceased.

Surf Life Saving NZ would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person who died. We would also like to thank the lifeguards and emergency services involved in the search and recovery.
