SLSNZ Acknowledges Fatality at Wenderholm Beach, Wenderholm Regional Park

On the 4th January 2022, SurfCom Ōrewa lifeguards were tasked to respond to Wenderholm Beach following reports by St John Ambulance of a woman being pulled from the water and bystanders providing CPR.

Upon arrival, lifeguards were requested by the Police to assist with managing people still in the water.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died at this sad time.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand would like to thank the Ōrewa lifeguards and the Police, Park Rangers, St Johns Ambulance crew and members of the public involved.
