SLSNZ Acknowledges Fatality at Omanu Beach, Mt Maunganui

On the 4th January 2022, lifeguards pulled a man from the water at Omanu Beach. He was brought back to shore on an Inflatable Rescue Craft.

The lifeguards immediately commenced CPR before Ambulance and Fire crews arrived to take over.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand extends our sincere condolences to whānau and loved ones of the man who died.
