Surf Life Saving New Zealand Acknowledges Fatality at Baylys Beach, Northland

On the 21st of November 2021, a member of the public alerted off duty lifeguards from Surf Life Saving Baylys Beach that they had come across a deceased person on the beach.

The lifeguards, who had been conducting a training exercise, stayed on the beach to manage the situation until the Police, Ambulance and Fire and Emergency arrived on the scene.

We would like to acknowledge this death and offer our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased. Surf Life Saving NZ also thanks the off duty lifeguards and emergency services involved.
