Surf Life Saving NZ Acknowledges Fatality at White’s Beach

Volunteer Surf Lifeguards assisted in the recovery of a female patient at White’s Beach, north of Piha Beach on Auckland’s notorious West Coast this afternoon. The patient was pronounced deceased shortly after 4pm.

'Very lucky' surfer brought to shore after water rescue at Waitara beach

A surfer who was plucked from rough waters 800 metres off a north Taranaki beach was a “very lucky boy”, a surf lifesaver says. Officers were called to West Beach in Waitara, near the river mouth, around 11.50am on Wednesday.
