Change of Venue - 2020 NZ Pool Rescue Championships

Tuesday, 15 September 2020

Following the Government announcement on Monday September 14, SLSNZ has made the decision to move the 2020 Pool Rescue Championships from the National Aquatic Centre in Auckland to Water World in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

This decision is based on the indication from the Government that from September 21, Auckland will continue to have restrictions on mass-gatherings at COVID-19 Alert Level 2 while areas outside of Auckland are likely to move to COVID-19 Alert Level 1 where no restrictions on mass-gatherings are expected.

The competition will still run on the original dates of October 2-4.

We are currently working with Water World and Hamilton City Council on developing a competition programme and logistics plan to ensure the health & safety of all participants, which will be communicated as soon as possible.

Should Hamilton not move into Alert Level 1 on September 21 as indicated, the event will be cancelled.

Close of entries has been extended September 23.
