High Performance Manager appointed to Surf Life Saving NZ
Tuesday, 18 February 2020SLSNZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Hamilton to the role of High Performance Manager.
Tanya has already been working with SLSNZ in a part-time role as High Performance Coordinator for the past nine months. It is great to have her on board in a greater capacity.
Tanya is based in Auckland and currently contracts to High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ) as a Senior Performance Nutritionist and has vast working history in the sport and health sectors. Tanya is also an active Junior Surf Coach with her children also involved in Junior Surf and Life Saving Sport competitions.
Reporting to the National Sport Manager, the SLSNZ High Performance Manager is a leadership role tasked with overseeing all aspects of the SLSNZ High Performance programmes.
The position is an 18 month fixed term role and is funded through High Performance Sport New Zealand’s Women in High Performance Sport Residency Fund. The fund is designed to accelerate highly capable and talented women into high performance leadership and coaching positions. SLSNZ is one of only nine National Sports Organisations to receive this funding.
