High Performance Team Management Position Appointed

Monday, 13 May 2019

The ‘teams behind the teams’ are almost complete with only a few team management positions to be filled across the National High Performance squads.

Black Fins:

Joining Matt Cairns (Head Coach) and Steve Vaughan (Manager) are Dan Grant (Assistant Coach-Pool), Cory Hutchings (Assistant Coach – Ocean), Kendall Stevenson (Physio) and Fiona Haste (Assistant Manager)

Sanyo Cup:

Joining Head Coach Danny Morrison are Dion Williams (Assistant Coach) and Andrew Lancaster (Manager)

Junior Black Fins:

Joining Head Coach Zac Franich is Laura Quilter (Assistant Coach – Pool) and Mike Ellis (Physio). Unfortunately, Team Manager Simone Spencer has had to withdraw from the team due to the ill-health of a family member.

The Junior Black Fins Team Manager role will be advertised shortly.

High Performance Coordinator:

SLSNZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Hamilton to the role of High Performance Coordinator.

This is a part-time (variable hours) fixed term role through to November next year, primarily focussed on developing our High Performance strategy and supporting the National Sport Manager and the management and athletes of our National Teams towards the 2020 World Lifesaving Championships in Italy.

Tanya is based in Auckland, working for High Performance New Zealand (HPSNZ) as a Senior Performance Nutritionist and has previously provided nutrition support for the Black Fins during World Championship campaigns.

Tanya is an active Junior Surf Coach with her children also involved in Junior Surf and Life Saving Sports Competitions.
