Appointment of National Sport Manager
Wednesday, 6 March 2019We are very pleased to announce that following a lengthy and vigorous recruitment process, Lewis McClintock has been appointed as the new National Sport Manager.
As most of you will know, Lewis has spent the last year as the Regional Sport Manager at SLSNR where he oversaw the development and delivery of the SLSNR sport strategy, delivered regional events and coordinated participation, development and high performance opportunities to the clubs and their members.
Before joining SLSNR, Lewis spent 15 years leading both the community and high performance departments at both North Harbour and Auckland Rugby Unions where he established a successful career as a leader in the management and delivery of sport. During this time he developed a thorough understanding of sport development and event planning & delivery at community, regional and national levels as well as building relationships with a wide range of volunteers and professionals throughout the country.
This combination of a successful background in a high profile and highly competitive sport such as Rugby, as well as the last 12 months understanding and developing his surf life saving knowledge and experience will provide Lewis and SLSNZ with an opportunity to develop and grow Life Saving Sport for the benefit our our clubs and members.
Lewis will be based at SLSNZ’s Albany office in Auckland. He starts with us on Monday 29th April and we are sure you will all join me in congratulating and welcoming Lewis into his new role.
