Lifeguard Wellbeing Survey - Exploring the role of social support following a traumatic event

Posted by Toby Parsons on Monday, April 15, 2019

Currently, there is no research into the experiences of lifeguards following potentially traumatic events. Aimee Rooke from Massey University invites our volunteer, or regional / contracted lifeguards, over 16 years, to participate in a survey which will explore lifeguard’s experience with potentially traumatic events, social support, and their experience with SLSNZ’s peer support program, if any, and possible relationships with general distress and posttraumatic stress symptoms.

If you are a volunteer, or regional / contracted lifeguard and you are 16 years of age or older then we would like to invite you to participate. The survey should only take 15 to 25 minutes to complete.

All participants can go in the draw to win one of six $40 Prezzy Cards
