Wood Group Training partners with Surf Life Saving New Zealand

Thursday, 12 May 2016

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is pleased to announce a three year partnership with Wood Group Training for the provision of First Aid training services to Surf Life Saving members and affiliates nationwide.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand CEO Paul Dalton says this is a fantastic opportunity that will benefit the people at the heart of the organisation; its members.

"First Aid is a core part of our lifeguards' on-going training but this comes at a huge cost to them as volunteers. We're grateful for this support from Wood Group Training and I look forward to getting underway with training our lifeguards ahead of the 2016-17 season," he says.

For the last two years, Wood Group Training has worked closely with local Surf Life Saving Clubs in the Taranaki region, conducting over 188 instances of training for Surf Life Saving Taranaki members including; first aid, sea survival and health and safety training services.

Wood Group Training General Manager Kerry Martyn says the team at Wood Group Training are very excited about developing that partnership much wider and are looking forward to working closely with Surf Life Saving New Zealand members and partners.

"It is an honour to partner with one of the oldest and largest community based organisations in New Zealand. This partnership will allow us to work closely with Surf Life Saving New Zealand to ensure we are helping to keep people safe on our beaches and within our local communities."
