2015 New Year Honours

Congratulations to the Surf Life Saving members who have been honoured in the 2015 New Year's Honours list.

Dr Kevin Moran (Muriwai) is to be an Officer of the NZ Order of Merit for services to water safety.

Thomas Pryde is to be a Member for the NZ Order of Merit for services to sport and the community. Mr Pryde has spent more than 50 years contributing to sport and the community, beginning in the early 1960's with the Oreti SLSC where he served as Club Captain, Coach and President.

And former SLSNZ President David Poppelwell (Bethells Beach) is to receive the Queen's Service Medal for services to the community.
