Wednesday, 15 April 2015

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is excited to announce further appointments to the New Zealand Open Team Management.

• Steven Vaughan - Assistant Team Manager
• Susan Pirret - Physio
• Caroline Stuart - Doctor

These are fixed term positions from March 2015 to November 2016.

They join Jason Pocock as the new Coach of the New Zealand Open Team, along with the return of Mark Weatherall as Team Manager.

The management team will help lead the preparation and performance of athletes in the New Zealand Open Team (the Black Fins) leading up to and including the Lifesaving World Championships being held in the Netherlands in September 2016, at which the Black Fins will be the defending champions.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand Sport Manager Mike Lord says "Steve, Susan and Caroline were a valuable part of the winning Rescue 2014 team and I look forward to working with them on another successful campaign."

The remaining New Zealand Team management position, Assistant Coach, will be selected and announced in the coming weeks.
