Surf Life Saving New Zealand, along with its principal partner State Insurance, is calling on the public to help name our new Surf Education mascot.

A competition, which runs through to November 14, encourages people to offer their naming suggestions, with one lucky winner receiving some great prizes including:

  • 5,000 Fly Buys bonus points for themselves;
  • A $2,000 cash donation towards a primary school of their choice;
  • Surf Life Saving New Zealand will provide their chosen school with a free Surf to School session.

To enter the competition, click here and fill in the details. To help spread the promotion far and wide, everyone who shares the competition via Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #surfmascot will go in the draw to win 500 Fly Buys bonus points.

The winner will be notified and announced on Friday, November 28.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand provides surf education courses to primary school children nationwide.

Beach Education is a full day programme for school groups where skilled Surf Lifeguards deliver our curriculum-based learning of beach and surf safety at the beach.

Our Surf to School programme brings qualified and experienced lifeguards to schools to teach kids important water safety and survival skills.

It's now easier than ever for schools to book into one of these programmes via the new Surf Education website and booking system. Click here to learn more.
