New Sport Manager announced

Thursday, 6 February 2014

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is delighted to announce that Mike Lord (Eastern Region Regional Programmes and Services Manager) has been appointed to fill the vacant Sport Manager role.

SLSNZ CEO Paul Dalton says Mike was up against some strong candidates and he will bring a wealth of experience and connections to the role. "It is great to see him take this next step in his career and I am sure you will join me in congratulating him on the appointment," he says.

Mike will start in his new role on March 11 and will continue to be based at the Mt Maunganui office, although will be in the National Office on a regular basis.

Acting Sport Manager Nick Gutzewitz will continue on for an extra week to Friday March 21 to allow for a full handover.

An announcement will be made in the coming days around a replacement for Mike's current role in the Eastern Region.
