Surf Life Saving New Zealand is proud to announce we are once again the charity partner of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary performance of the popular free Christmas musical extravaganza.
Surf Life Saving New Zealand CEO Paul Dalton says he is excited that our organisation is involved in another year of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park and, in particular, be joining in on the 20th year celebrations.
The concerts are being held in Christchurch's Hagley Park on Saturday 30 November and at the Auckland Domain on Saturday 14 December.
Once again, our lifeguards will be out and about in their red and yellow uniforms bucket collecting in the crowds and selling merchandise to raise funds for Surf Life Saving.
Jamie McDell will make a return appearance during the Ambassadors' message at 7.15pm on the night of the concerts.
Auckland's headline act Stan Walker will also show his support for Surf Life Saving by encouraging the crowd to "Light up the park for Surf" using their cell phones to text and donate.
The winner of TV3's X-Factor NZ Jackie Thomas, will headline the Christchurch event.
General Manager of Coca-Cola Oceania Paul Fitzgerald says "Coca-Cola is delighted to be celebrating the twentieth year of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park. This has been our gift to New Zealand since 1994 and we've enjoyed many happy nights with our friends and families at this special free outdoor event. It's a wonderful way to start the festive season and bring people together to enjoy what's often described as the happiest night of the year. "
Highlights from the concerts can be seen in the special 90 minute broadcast on TV3 in December.
