Change to National Sport Committee

Surf Life Saving New Zealand would like to advise a change to the National Sport Committee.

Dave Shanks will replace Johnny Clough as the Northern Region Representative.

We'd like to thank Johnny for his tireless input over the last few years and we wish him well as he looks to concentrate on his officiating. Johnny will continue to be Chair of the Northern Region Sport Committee and an event referee at multiple national events.

We'd also like to welcome Dave to the committee. He brings a background in senior business management and a rich history in surf lifesaving, having been involved with junior surf, acted as an official for over ten years and also been a club and regional committee member.

The National Sport Committee is responsible for providing positive leadership of surf lifesaving sport delivery and development and providing SLSNZ staff with advice, feedback and support. The committee consists of seven representatives, a board liaison and one staff member.
