Kubota announces SLSNZ support

Thursday, 30 May 2013

CB Norwood Distributors Ltd's Kubota Division and Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) are proud to formally announce Kubota New Zealand's support of Surf Life Saving clubs around New Zealand.

One of the core principles that Kubota work to is how they can support their local communities and so they are very proud to add SLSNZ to their current involvement with Rescue Helicopters throughout New Zealand.

Supporting organisations that work in and support our local communities is an important part of Kubota's philosophy.  Ian Massicks, New Zealand Kubota Manager, says "One of CB Norwood's key corporate social responsibilities is to look at how it can support the local community and we are very proud to be supporting SLSNZ.  The nationwide Kubota team have a lot of respect for the time and effort put in to keep our beaches safe over the summer months and feel that this is something we can do to show our support and make their day to day work that little bit easier."

Kubota New Zealand is working with SLSNZ by providing great rates and trialling Utility Vehicles to clubs at various test sites around New Zealand.   Kubota's RTV900 and RTV1140 units are the perfect fit for an organisation that relies on versatility, safety and reliability.

Andy Kent, Lifesaving Services and Education Manager says "Along with the support of Pub Charity, the two latest  units, RTV1140's,  have been out and about working hard over the summer months at Raglan and Papamoa beaches and have received glowing reviews from the Lifeguards."

Raglan Surf Life Saving Club convener of lifesaving Travis Slattery says since they have been using the new RTV it's given the Lifeguards much better mobility for transporting equipment around the beach. "We can put everything from paddle boards and rescue gear on top of the roof to folding back the seats to fit a stretcher. That's something we've not had before. It's just like a mobile first aid tool," he says.

Kubota also generously supplied an extensive range of equipment that proved to be invaluable in assisting SLSNZ to deliver three massive events in the Eastern Region.  Kubota New Zealand Ag Sales Manager Shaun Monteith says "We value being in the position to be able to offer ongoing support to Surf Lifesaving New Zealand on a National level as well as assist our Dealers to help their local clubs.  It's great to know that we are doing our bit to make sure that Lifeguards have the resources they need to not only advance their training but also play any part we can in the smooth running of their nationwide events."
