Club Development Officer, Coromandel

Mt Maunganui based, applications close 2 August 2013 at 5.00pm

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is now seeking applications for the vacant Club Development Officer (CDO) - Coromandel Position, this is a fulltime role and services 7 Coromandel Clubs (Hot Water Beach, Tairua, Pauanui, Onemana, Whangamata, Whiritoa and Waihi Beach) and greater Coromandel Area.

The CDO position provides direct and practical support to members and Clubs within the Coromandel Area by sharing best practice, ensuring volunteer time is effective and providing solutions to problems identified by the Clubs. This position also forms part of the Surf Lifesaving Eastern Region Team, which is also critical larger Surf Lifesaving New Zealand organisation. Personal qualities such as team fit and leadership capability are valued highly by our organisation and if and applicant is to be successful they will need to demonstrate this through past experience.      

Honorary Medical Director

Applications close 2 August 2013 at 5.00pm

Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is seeking applications for the position of Honorary Medical Director. 

The objective of the Medical Director is to provide strategic direction and delegated medical authority on matters pertaining to patient care by surf lifeguards and to ensure all surf lifesaving activities promote the health and wellbeing of members.

The candidate will need to have outstanding relationship management skills and the ability to communicate to a diverse group of stakeholders with real impact. This is a volunteer position with all related expenses covered by SLSNZ.

National Sport Committee (1 position)

Expressions close at 5pm Friday 26 July 2013.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is seeking expressions of interest from members who would like to apply for an appointed position on the National Sport Committee for an immediate start through to 30 September 2015.

The objective the National Sport Committee is to assist SLSNZ in delivery and development of surf sport. The people we are looking for are 'all-rounders' who has had experience across a broad range of lifesaving or surf sport areas. The Committee is responsible to the Sport Manager, SLSNZ.

They will also have outstanding relationship management skills and the ability to communicate to a diverse group of stakeholders with real impact. Ideally they are someone who has already had some experience at club and local committee level.

Programmes and Services Manager, Southern Region

Applications close Friday 2nd August 2013, 5.00pm 

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is now seeking applications for the vacant Regional programmes and services manager (RPSM)- Southern Region, this is a fulltime role and services the 18 clubs that make up the southern Region

The RPSM will support the implementation of SLSNZ's lifesaving and sport plans by coordinating the delivery of national and regional programmes and events throughout the region. Working closely with Club Development Officers the RPSM will be a key link between programme development and programme/event delivery.

The RPSM will ensure delivery primarily through skilled coordination with the aim of creating membership capability and sustainability not dependency. There will be times when the RPSM is directly responsible for delivery of programmes and services.

Surf Official positions for 2013-2014

Applications close Friday 26 July 2013. 

Applications are now open for Surf Official positions in events for the 2013/14 season.

This can be done on-line, and will take approximately 20mins to complete. You will be asked to nominate your two preferred positions for each event you would like to officiate at.
