Three National Selectors Reappointed

Wednesday, 23 January 2013

Surf Life Saving New Zealand is pleased to announce the reappointment of Duane Dalton, Jason Pocock, and Jonelle Quane as National Selectors.

The reappointment follows a successful Rescue 2012 where New Zealand won the World Championships for the first time since 1998.

The role of the National Selectors is to identify, monitor and select athletes to represent New Zealand in international competition during 2013 and 2014, including the 2013 International Surf Rescue Challenge and the 2014 Life Saving World Championships.

The coach of the New Zealand Team will be the fourth member of the Selection Panel. This appointment will be made prior to the 2013 State New Zealand Surf Life Saving Championships.

The three selectors will be at Whangamata this weekend and welcome the opportunity to discuss selection opportunities with athletes and coaches.
