Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is proud to announce it has been confirmed as the official charity partner to the State New Zealand Ocean Swim Series (SNZOSS) and State Beach Series (SBS).

This partnership with event owner Quantum Events Ltd will see a number of mutual benefits to both parties.

The SNZOSS is a unique six-event ocean swim series at some of New Zealand's most iconic and beautiful locations with distances for everyone. Surf Life Saving will provide full event safety management and lifeguard services across the entire series.

All current SLSNZ members and staff will receive a 20 percent discount off the standard or late entry price to enter the SNZOSS and SLSNZ will also reap the benefits of a dedicated SBS charity event where all proceeds will be donated to SLSNZ.

Throughout the series, Quantum will promote the SLSNZ brand and fundraising messages to SNZOSS and SBS participants across a wide range of marketing collateral. Participants will also be offered the opportunity to swim for free by fundraising for SLSNZ, this year, aiming to raise $50,000.

SLSNZ CEO Paul Dalton says this partnership is an exciting way to bring together two groups who are passionate about the water and making sure people enjoy it in a safe manner. "We're also delighted to be working alongside people who have similar values when it comes to connecting with the community," he says.

Quantum Events Ltd Managing Director Scott Rice says "we are excited to confirm SLSNZ as the official charity for our events. Being an organisation dedicated to keeping people safe in and around the water, we found this partnership a natural fit. We look forward to working with their team to grow both donations and their national profile."

The partnership commences immediately and will kick off in November when the first event in the series, the Harbour Crossing, takes place in Auckland.
