Injury blow to NZ Under 20 World Championship Team

Tuesday, 11 September 2012

Champion beach sprinter Kodi Harman has been ruled out of the Life Saving World Championships in November due to injury. The stress fracture injury will side-line Harman for 12 weeks. It's a disappointing blow for Harman who, following his gold medal performances at both the New Zealand and Australian Championships earlier this year, was a hot favourite to win the Under 20 Beach Sprint world title.

The National Selectors have named Toby Harris from the Wainui club in Gisborne as Harman's replacement in the NZ Under 20 Team. Harris is a current member of the New Zealand Development Squad and has competed internationally previously for New Zealand Development and New Zealand A teams.
