Selectors add two athletes to World Championship squadTuesday, 28 August 2012
The Surf Life Saving New Zealand National Selectors have added Samantha Richter (Mairangi Bay) and Laura Quilter (Wainui) to the New Zealand World Championships Squad.
20 year old Laura Quilter is a member of Wainui Surf Life Saving Club in Gisborne and joins younger brother Ben who was recently added to the Development Squad. Laura has won medals at New Zealand Pool Championships and was a gold medal winner in the 4 x 50m Obstacle Relay at Australian Pool Championships earlier this month.
Samantha Richter (23) is a member of Mairangi Bay Surf Life Saving Club in Auckland and was also a gold medal winner in the 4 x 50m Obstacle Relay at Australian Pool Championships earlier this month. Both Samantha and Laura are also previous members of Swimming New Zealand teams.
