Club Overview

Sumner SLSC has an excellent reputation as a key patrolling club in Canterbury. As we have one of the busiest and more dangerous beaches in Christchurch we hold a high standard of expectations for our life guards.

Patrol Hours

Sumner Beach is patrolled on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays between 13 November 2020 and 14 March 2021. Volunteer lifeguards patrol from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturdays and 11:00am to 5:00pm on Sundays.
A Regional Lifeguard Service is provided Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm during 15 December 2020 to 29 January 2021.
