Club Governance Resources

All SLSNZ Clubs are required to have a constitution that aligns to the SLSNZ Constitution. This is not a new requirement (it has been a standard constitutional requirement for many years).

The Club Constitution Guide has been developed to help Clubs adopt an aligned, current and legally sound Constitution (including meeting the Charities Commissions requirements) yet still is flexible enough to allow for specific Club requirements.

The Club Constitution Template is a Word document allowing Clubs to create the Constitution from the Guide.

It is not compulsory for Clubs to adopt this specific Template Constitution.

  • Club Constitution Guide, June 2012 (pdf, 383kb) - this document explains the content of the template and how it works.
  • Club Constitution Template,  June 2012 (Word, 68kb) - this document can be used by clubs to construct their own constitution.
