Description
SLSNZ will run the National Search and Rescue Summit (SARS) in Muriwai Beach from April 11 to April 14, 2024.
The 2024 Summit will have an underlying theme of “Go Light and Long”, including lessons learnt from the various long-distance deployments our squads have been deployed and the Nationally Significant MSAREX NZSAR have been running around the country. The Summit will combine dynamic theory sessions and SLSNZ Operational Reviews with several intensive scenario-based MSAREXs and unpack the outcomes of SLSNZ SAR Structural Review.
The Summit will provide the participants with an excellent opportunity to network with other SAR leaders within SLSNZ and from supporting SAR agencies from around the country to take the learnings back to their respective squads. Applicants must be Senior Lifeguards on SAR Teams with a thorough understanding of SAR Policies & NSOPs. There are 20 positions available for the summit.
