The 2023 Central Region Pool Rescue Championships will be held at Makino Aquatic Centre 10 Council Place, Fielding 4702
This event will see junior and senior competitors from throughout the Central Region compete in a variety of pool rescue events to hone their skills at the start of the 2023/24 season.
Pool Rescue Competitions are our first events of the season and provide a great platform for members to increase their swimming capability and train in a range of rescue type events in the pool. Event include diving under obstacles in the water, carrying manikins through the water or rubber bricks for junior competitors, tube rescues, fin swimming and line throws all of which simulate rescue situations our lifeguard maybe raced with.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Entries may be made using the SLSNZ Online Event Entry System. Your club has access to this system and will process your entries. Following the close of entry as detailed below entry fees will be invoiced directly to your club for payment prior to the competition.
Entries Open: Thursday 11th August
Entries Close: Monday 11th September, 10:00am
Entry Fee: $35 per Athlete (inclusive of GST)

PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS
All participants with a pre-existing medical condition must complete and submit a Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Declaration form prior to the close of entries. These forms are to be submitted to the Event Manager by email to Daniel.cudby@surflifesaving.org.nz However, participants are encouraged to submit these as early as possible.
Once submitted, the forms will be reviewed by SLSNZ and a decision will be made on whether a Competitor Waiver form is required to be completed.
