Description

Surf First Aid Refresher Note:

This is not a Standard Work Place First Aid!

Unit Standards: 6401, 6402, 6400 Essential Surf Content

Prerequisites: Must hold a current "Surf first aid Certificate"

Duration: 1 days Description:

This is a 1 day resuscitation course covering the following topics (Bold topics are typically in addition to 6400, 6401, 6402 content, though mandatory for an approved Surf First Aid course*): Assessment of emergency situations, basic life support (must include use of AED), soft tissue injuries, bleeding, shock, fractures and head injuries. Hypothermia, asthma, Oxygen delivery systems, burns, asthma and basic drowning physiology.
