Description
Participate in a valuable workshop on "Well-being in the Surf Environment." Hosted by SLSNZ, this in-person workshop aims to provide Clubbies with essential knowledge and skills to enhance mental health and well-being in the surf environment.
We are privileged to have Scott Weatherall, a renowned expert in the field, as the facilitator for this workshop. Scott Weatherall is the SLSNZ Health & Safety Advisor, a St John Paramedic, and I AM HOPE Ambassador. With his expertise, he will guide participants through various topics, including:
- Mental health, mental illness, and well-being
- Supporting oneself and others
- Available well-being support for members
- Traumatic stress and critical incident support
- Bullying and inclusion
This workshop is open to all SLSNZ members involved in club operations, including lifeguards, patrol support, committee members, coaches, and officials. Please note that participants must be 14 years or older.
