<p>The Senior Lifeguard Award - Patrol Captain training course provides information on what you need to know and be able to do as a patrol captain. The qualification also covers theory on leadership topics which are then put into practice during scenarios. This prepares Surf Lifeguards for the leadership role that is essential to being a successful patrol captain. The Senior Lifeguard Award - Patrol Captain is a pre requisite for the National Lifeguard School, the final step for members to obtain their Advanced Lifeguard Award.</p> <h3>Course Details</h3> <p>Date: Saturday 3 September 2022<br>Venue: Levin Waitarere Surf Lifesaving Club<br>Time: 9am start - Please be at the venue by 8:45am ready for a 9am start.  </p> <p><strong>Pre-requisites:</strong></p> <p>To commence training for the Senior Lifeguard Award – Patrol Captain you must have met the following minimum pre-requisites:</p> <ul> <li>Current First Aid Level 1</li> <li>Minimum of 16 years of age</li> <li>2 years patrolling experience</li> <li>VHF Marine Radio Operators</li> <li>Current member of a SLSC</li> <li>Surf Lifeguard Award (refreshed)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Registrations: </strong> Use this <a href="https://forms.gle/N3LUh4833ZBxpG898">link</a> to register by 12pm 26 August 2022</p> <p>See the <a href="/media/996321/patrol-captains-course-3-sept.pdf" title="Patrol Captains Course 3 Sept.pdf">Flyer</a> for more information</p> Development
