Description

Purpose:
These training evenings are for Surf Lifeguard and Patrol Support exam candidates who intend to sit their exam this season.
There are four trainings scheduled in the lead up to exams, so candidates can come together and share knowledge with other candidates from around the region, while learning from a wide range of instructors from different clubs.
Instructors are encouraged to attend to share ideas and learn new ways of teaching exam content.
We will have examiners at each session, who can support the training and answer any questions, as well as give the group an idea of what to expect at the exam.

What to bring:
Candidates are advised to bring workbooks, manuals and pens.
Ideally we would love for every club attending to provide at least one instructor/lifeguard helper. These sessions aim to develop our new instructors, through learning off and being supported by more experienced instructors and examiners from around the district.
Clubs may also be asked to bring manikins, radios or first aid equipment, depending on what we are doing on the night.

Venue:
This will be confirmed closer to the time, dependent on the amount of candidates registered from each club.

Registrations:
Please register your candidates in the system a week before the training date.
