COMPETITION OVERVIEW

The ILS Race Fest provides an opportunity for our IRB athletes to be able to race under ILS rules.  We wish to provide aspiring IRB athletes a chance to test themselves under ILS rules and provide a pathway through to section into a Development and eventually a High Performance Squad.

COMPETITION INFORMATION

Entries may be made using the SLSNZ WAVES Online Event Entry System. Your club has access to this system and will process your entries. Following the close of entry as detailed below entry fees will be invoiced directly to your club for payment prior to the competition.

Entries Open: 10:00am, 12th October

Entries Close: 10:00am, 20th November

Competition Entry Fee:       $150 per Crew

Pooled Equipment Fee*:       $50 per Crew

*Clubs that contribute to the Pooled Equipment are exempt from this fee.

Team Manager ILS Familiarisation 7:30pm (Note Change of Venue – Orewa Beach Holiday Park Kitchen Area)

 

Sunday 27th November

Officials Meeting: 7:15am (Orewa SLSC)

Team Manager Safety Briefing: 7:30am (Orewa SLSC)

Racing Start: 8:00am

Racing Finish: 1:00pm

High Tide: 1047 hrs – 3.36m

Low Tide: 1651 hrs – 0.40m

Please note that this circular must be read in conjunction with the Entry Circular which outlines further information Team Managers must be aware of prior to entering any competitors into the competition.

OFFICIALS CIRCULAR

This document provides you with all the information you need to know as an Official at the ILS Race Fest. While it contains the typical logistical information surrounding the event, it also incorporates very important details that an Official must be aware of before attending the event.

Please note that this circular should be read in conjunction with the Entry and Team Manager Circulars which outline further information Participants and Team Managers must be aware of prior to attending into the competition.

PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS

All participants with a pre-existing medical condition must complete and submit a Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Declaration form prior to the close of entries. These forms are to be submitted to the Event Manager by email to mark.inglis@surflifesaving.org.nz  However, participants are encouraged to submit these as early as possible.

Once submitted, the forms will be reviewed by SLSNZ and a decision will be made on whether a Competitor Waiver form is required to be completed.
