Description

This three day course refines all of the skills already learnt in Surf First Aid plus extends the lifeguard in their knowledge of drowning physiology, circum-rescue collapse and assessment of non-fatal drowning, scene management, advanced monitoring (pulse oximetry, blood glucose and chest auscultation) and triage. Unit Standard 29321.

Prerequisites: Current SLSNZ member, 17 years old and holds a current or refreshed Surf First Aid

Duration: Three days - Saturday 5, Sunday 6 November and Saturday 26 November (you must be able to attend all three days)

Note: During this course Surf First Aid is refreshed.
