Description
COURSE OVERVIEW
The Surf Lifeguard Award certifies that the holder has the basic skills and knowledge to be a Surf Lifeguard. This is the entry level qualification for members to be a patrolling member.
The Surf Lifeguard Award is the first step on the Surf Life Saving New Zealand lifeguard pathway.
COURSE INFORMATION
Duration: 2 evenings
Evening 1: Tuesday 22nd March- theory test & pool components at QEII, 6:00pm
Evening 2: Thursday 24th March- practical & beach components, venue TBC, 6:00pm
Requirements:
- Participate in full courses as required for qualification
- Complete all practical requirements as necessary
- Complete all theory requirements – full workbook completion prior to weekend is mandatory for some qualification.
PRE-REQUISITES
- Surf Lifeguard Award
- 14 years of age
