<h1>EVENT OVERVIEW</h1> <p>2022 Canterbury Championships - <strong>POSTPONED UNTIL 18/19 February</strong></p> <p>This action packed day will see our local clubs compete for the title of overall club champions.</p> <p>Event like these help ensure our lifeguards are keeping fit, and skilled amongst a variety of disciplines emulating what they may have to do as a lifeguard.</p> <p>Canoes will run on the Friday evening, with the rest of the events being run on Saturday.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are operating under the COVID Protection Framework in <strong>RED</strong>, and require COVID Vaccine Certificates to be presented by all those eligible (12 years and 3 months old and above) to enter the competition arenas with limits on gathering sizes of 100. This includes all competitors, coaches, managers, officials and event water safety. This will be a <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>non-spectator event</strong></span></p> <p>Due to gathering restrictions, on Saturday 5th February we will be split over two venues.</p> <ul> <li>New Brighton SLSC - Women's Arena</li> <li>South Brighton SLSC - Men's Arena</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h1>ENTRY INFORMATION</h1> <p>Entries may be made using the SLSNZ Online Event Entry System. This action packed day will see our local clubs compete for the title of overall club champions.

Event like these help ensure our lifeguards are keeping fit, and skilled amongst a variety of disciplines emulating what they may have to do as a lifeguard.

Canoes will run on the Friday evening, with the rest of the events being run on Saturday.

These forms are to be submitted to the Event Manager by email to luke.smith@surflifesaving.org.nz  However, participants are encouraged to submit these as early as possible.
