<p>The Taranaki Lifeguard Camp is back in 2021!</p> <p>The Camp is intended to help surf club members achieve their lifeguard award. Training days will be held over the 16<sup>th</sup>, 17<sup>th</sup>, 23<sup>rd</sup> and 24<sup>th</sup> of October with examination being on Friday the 29<sup>th</sup> and Saturday 30<sup>th</sup> of October. This is an all-inclusive camp that will give candidates the skills and knowledge they need to become qualified lifeguards.</p> <p>Candidates will be taught basic lifeguard skills including but not limited to; First Aid, CPR, Tube Rescue, Holds and Releases, Run Swim Run swimming, Signals, Radio Operation and lifeguard theory. Following the camp candidates will be examined to see if they meet the standard necessary to become a lifeguard.</p> <p><strong>Date:            </strong>16<sup>th</sup> &amp; 17<sup>th</sup> PLUS 23<sup>rd</sup> and 24<sup>th</sup> of October<strong><br />Venue:         </strong>16<sup>th</sup> and &amp; 17<sup>th</sup> at East End SLSC, 23<sup>rd </sup>&amp; 24<sup>th</sup> at NPOB SLSC<strong><br />Time:           </strong>9:00am– 4:00pm each training day<strong><br />Cost:            </strong>No cost (bring your own food)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Duration:</strong>                   4 training days + 1 and half examination days.
