EVENT OVERVIEW

First junior interclub in Christchurch for the 2021/2022 season.

This event will be split across multiple venues to reduce intermingling and crossover between age group ‘bubbles’

Under 8s and Under 9s will be hosted at South Brighton Beach

Under 10s, Under 11s and Under 12s will be hosted at New Brighton Beach

Under 13s and Under 14s will be hosted at North Beach

ENTRY INFORMATION

Entries may be made using the SLSNZ Online Event Entry System. Your club has access to this system and will process your entries.

Entries Open: Monday 15th November 2021

Entries Close: 11:00am Tuesday 23rd November 2021

COVID-19 EVENT GUIDELINES

This event will follow all the latest guidelines that have been set by the NZ Government and Sport New Zealand, as per the COVID-19 updates on the SLSNZ website.

We are currently at Alert Level 2 which therefore means a maximum of 100 people can be within a ‘defined space’.
Therefore, entries per arena are limited to 16 club contacts, and 84 competitors. Once these numbers have been hit, notification will go to clubs that no more competitors are to be entered into those age groups.

Each club will be allocated 2 x slots for a coach/manager to be within the arena. (to be listed in EnterNOW).
Spectators are asked to either:

1. Stay well clear from the arenas
2. Do not attend the event

Under no circumstances are parents or supporters to enter the competition arenas. Only the two club contacts per arena are to be in these spaces.

EVENT CIRCULAR

This document provides you with all the information you need to know in order to enter this event. While it contains the typical logistical information surrounding the event, it also incorporates very important details that an athlete, parent and/or guardian must be aware of before entering themselves or their child into this event.

PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS

All participants with a pre-existing medical condition must complete and submit a Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Declaration form prior to the close of entries. These forms are to be submitted to the Event Manager by email to luke.smith@surflifesaving.org.nz  However, participants are encouraged to submit these as early as possible.

Once submitted, the forms will be reviewed by SLSNZ and a decision will be made on whether a Competitor Waiver form is required to be completed.
