EVENT INFORMATION
After the cancellation of Nationals and the final day of Oceans, we’ve put together a fun local competition to end the season on a positive note
Event eligibility: Open to all refreshed lifeguards as well as junior athletes that attended Oceans 2021.
Registration: Registrations will be completed on the day and must be in by 8:30am.
Teams: Athletes from all clubs will be sorted into random teams of 6. Teams will be announced at 8:45am for a 9am start. Teams can select who competes in what races. However, all athletes must race in at least two events on the day. Teams will be assigned a number which will be marked on their hands for identification.
Points: Points will be awarded for each event. For example, if there were 8 teams, 1st place would receive 8 points and 8th would receive one point. The team that receives the most points wins.
Prizes: 1st Place: $300 of vouchers
2nd Place: $180 of vouchers
3rd Place: $120 of vouchers
There will also be random spot prizes on the day to be awarded by officials for teamwork, humour and/or skill.
