Description
The IRB Crewpersons Module (IRBCM) is the starting point for education in the IRB. The IRBCM gives Surf Lifeguards the knowledge and skills required to respond as a crewperson in rescue situations utilising an IRB.
Clubs are ordinarily expected to organise their own Crewperson modules, however this combined Club event is being supported by the region to give extra opportunity to candidates and Clubs before the introduction of the new IRB Crewpersons rule in July 2021.
We will run a full IRB Crewperson module at this event. In the afternoon session there will be an opportunity to take the IRB Crew theory exam and if conditions are suitable there will also be an option for candidates to complete the practical components.
Further information on the IRB Crewpersons module can be found at this link; https://www.surflifesaving.org.nz/lifesaving/powercraft-education/irb-crewpersons
Registrations will be limited dependent on Instructor & Examiner numbers and priority will be given to the home Clubs candidates. To register please complete the registration form on the link below. Registrations close Monday 22nd March 12pm.
Please contact Poppy Crouch, Coromandel Club Development Officer with any questions or queries.
