Please note that the AGM will be held at the conclusion of the Club Chairs Strategy Workshop – a not to be missed event. It does not have to be the Club Chair if they are not available. This is the only opportunity in the year for all Clubs to get together to discuss matters of strategic importance so the SLSNZ Board strongly encourage everyone to participate. The opportunity is now open for Clubs to advise what topics they would like to see on the agenda for that session.

COVID-19 - if the Government rules around the Covid-19 response make it impractical or
impossible to hold a face to face meeting on the above date, the AGM will instead be held electronically
via video or audio conference (see Rule 22.3 b, SLSNZ Constitution) at the same date and time. If this
change is to occur, notice will be given as soon as possible, recognising that this change could occur at
any time.

Message from Paul Dalton (25 August 2020)

The Government announcement yesterday did not quite give us the certainty we needed as to what Alert Level we will all be in on 19th September, but it was a positive step that Auckland is dropping to Alert Level 2 next Monday.

We are now expecting an announcement early next week (1/2 September) as to what Alert Levels will apply after Sunday 6th September.  So we have decided to leave our Plan A in place to hold the AGM events in Wellington until we know what the announcement next week will be.  We feel it is a bit early to cancel things at this point, given all the arrangements are already in place and there is good chance that Wellington will be back in Level 1 in just under 3 weeks time.

That will still give people at least 17 days notice if we need to change to Plan B.

Thank you for your patience – we really do want to give every chance to hold the events in their normal manner, particularly the Awards of Excellence Dinner.
