<p>This camp is aimed at new and developing IRB Driver candidates who are just starting or continuing their IRB Driver pathway and will give candidates a good grounding in the basic skills needed to enable them to develop into competent drivers through further training offered at their own Club or Academy.</p> <p>The Senior Lifeguard Award – IRB Driver (SLA-IRBD) is designed to create competent IRB drivers. This award gives Surf Lifeguards the knowledge and skills to respond using an IRB in rescue situations. The qualification has a number of theoretical and practical components such as driving in the surf, solo driving and maritime regulations.
