<p><span>Wāhine on Water Christchurch is happening Sunday 11th October 8.30am!!!</span><br /><span>ALL FEMALES WELCOME FROM ALL CLUBS!! It is going to be an absolute stunner of event!</span><br /><br /><span>See below the vision from those who have developed the Wāhine on Water Project, from BP Leaders For Life. An epic project developed by Phoebe Havill, Julie Conway, Paul Hardy and and Phil Pirie. </span><br /><br /><strong>Our Vision:</strong><br /><span>To get more females involved, competent and confident in IRBs.</span><br /><br /><strong>Why:</strong><br /><span>50% of Surf Lifeguards are female, yet only 28% of our IRB drivers are Female. This is something we are looking to address through pairing inexperienced lifeguards with an experienced Female IRB mentor. The intention of the networking day is to provide women more time in the boat in a supportive low stress environment.</span><br /><br /><strong>Who:</strong><br /><span>This event is targeted at females from any club who would like to spend a fun day in an IRB learning tips on driving and crewing from some of the best Female IRB drivers in the Region.</span><br /><br /><strong>Registration Process:</strong><br /><span><em>All attendees are asked to please register through your club captains, head instructors, patrol officers or whoever your go to person at your club is!</em> Get in quick as spots will fill up!!
