Eastern Region IRB Development Camp # 1
Date: Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July 2018
Venue: Pauanui SLSC
Address: Pauanui Blvd, Pauanui 3579
Time: Kicking off at 9am on Saturday.
Purpose:
The purpose of this development weekend is to provide local
IRB development opportunities aimed at those who are at
introductory to intermediate level, and to further their knowledge,
experience and skills.
To provide an opportunity for new/trainee IRB Drivers and
Crewman to:
1. Gain further driving and crewing hours under experienced
instruction
2. Improve their skills with the assistance of experience
instructors and examiners.
3. Enhance local instructional skill bases.
4. Complete the Theory Test Component for Drivers and Crewman
award.
We will be sending two experienced instructor/examiners to assist
the local instructors with this weekend to further enhance the
skill and knowledge base locally.

Thanks to Zespri we are able to offer these courses at no cost to
our members, however should you register for the course and fail to
turn up your club may be invoiced for the cost of the course
$50.00. Please check with your Instructor if you wish to
register.
Weekend Programme & Requirements:
Saturday: 9am - 4pm
Sunday: 9am - 2pm
A theory component will be offered for those candidates that are
ready, this will be conducted on Saturday afternoon. If conditions
permit, a crewman practical exam will be held for candidates.
What to bring along:
- Full Wetsuit
- Lunch and snacks both days
- Water Bottle
- Towel
- Warm dry clothes
- Jacket
- Any medication which you require
- Workbook for Driver Candidates
Clubs will also need to provide their own equipment for their
candidates, this includes but not limited to: IRB Hull, Engine,
Fuel, Tools, and Fuel Bladder etc.
