Whangamata SLSC has had a superb idea to host development camps for coromandel guards at various times a year. They have booked the first one for 27th/28th May.
The camp would not be too intense but have a nice balance of activities both SLS and others around whangamata along with time to get to know everyone on the camp with the desire to know a good percentage of guards from around the coromandel.
SLS activities including -
* PT in the morning
* IRB training
* Rock jumps
* First Aid Scenario
* Development workshop on working together, what makes a good lifeguard.
Other Activities -
* Looking into Zorb football
* Mini golf or/and walk to Wentworth valley
* Team dinner on Saturday night
* Team breakfast Sunday morning
Cost is $30 - payable to an account before the camp to secure your spot. This will pay for the dinner on Saturday night, breakfast Sunday morning and fuel for the IRB's.
