The Capital Coast is running an Introductory day for all lifeguards in the area to come on down and learn more about Event Guarding within Surf Life Saving NZ and our local area. The day will take you through the basic principles of event guarding, touch on expectations of an event guard, provide a brief orientation of gear and equipment, practically assess and develop driving and crewing abilities as well as give you a taste of what it's all about. This Introductory day is looking to attract those lifeguards who have a professional attitude and eager to utilise their lifeguarding skills in the IRB at Local and Regional events with the potential to guard at National events.
A minimum of 1 year patrolling experience is required to attend the day.
